Animal Lover

On an episode of Jerseylicious, Olivia was asked why she loved animal prints so much.  Her response was that animal prints are the best prints for people to wear or have because they were made by God.  Stripes, polka-dots were all man made but the patterns on cheetahs, zebras and leopards are a gift from God!  This was the best answer I had ever heard and i giggle a little whenever I think about it!  Although I've typically been a Tracey fan, Olivia cracks me up!

I never cared much for animal prints before.  It's not that I didn't like them, I just never had an interest to wear them or get tons of items in my favorite animal's fur pattern.  Since my favorite animal is a polar bear, I would have just had everything white trying to pass it off as looking like the best animal in the world!  However, for some reason that I can't explain, in the past couple months I have become obsessed with cheetah and leopard print!  I even painted my nails in a cheetah print tonight! Right now I'm really looking into getting some cheetah or leopard print shoes.  These are some of my favorites so far (based on looks not prices!).
The Jeffrey Campbell Lita may be my favorite shoe of all time.  Although I may not be able to own a pair of these for a long time, I can dare to dream!  Someday they will be a part of my happy collection!

Brash is Payless Shoes' latest brand which Sierra Kusterbeck is currently the face of!  She's one of my favorite singers and a huge fashion influence so I'm really happy to see her moving into fashion but still keeping up with VersaEmerge!  I think this shoe is really cute.  Although I don't always go for the peep-toes, I might be persuaded to go for it this time!

Express has a huge collection of cheetah and leopard print items that I love.  In their store right now, they do a great job of pairing the print with lots of reds.  Red is my favorite color so it draws me in immediately!  I love heels so I'll be searching for these next time I'm in the store!

Like every other girl, I love Forever 21.  I'm currently using their mascara and I love it!  I'm pretty sure it was less than $3.  They always have great clothes, accessories and shoes at great prices!  Plus, having the print I want on a boot with a heel, how could I pass this up?  I think this is the shoe I'll be buying (first at least!).

Dreams of being back in Iceland...

I fell in love with Iceland.  I constantly dream of going back!  Strolling through the beautiful and surprisingly fashionable city is lovely but i want to explore its vast terrain next time.  Those Northern Lights are just calling my name!
Wherever this leads to, I'd probably stay there.

If I lived there, I might just have to eat this every single day. Yum!!

Iceland is great with color.  While driving to the city, some place almost look like little Monopoly houses.  I love seeing all the cute red, green and blue roofed houses!  The water looks beautiful too!  The skies and water are such a wonderful shade of blue!

I'd live here!  My red roofed castle!

Don't let the name "Iceland" fool you.  Some spots are very green!  I love the trees.

This became my favorite store to look through.  It may be a little shop but it's packed full of one of my favorite accessories...

Tights!!!

And more Tights!!  The one with the bow and ribbon down the leg is my personal favorite.

Photography-a universal passion.

There's my brother (bottom right corner)!! This is the church called Hallgrímskirkja.  I led my family on a winding journey to get to this church!  Although I had never seen a map of the area or even knew where exactly I was for that matter, I followed my heart, listened for the church bells and I believe I only made one wrong turn the whole time.

Please.

But alas, my dreams must be put on hold for the time being.  Class starts in exactly 8 hours so I should probably get some sleep.  The Northern Lights will be dancing in my dreams all night!

I want to marry a man named Jeffrey Campbell so I can be Mrs. Jeffrey Campbell.

As many shoe lovers are, I have become addicted to Jeffrey Campbells.  I can spend hours at a time looking though online stores of JC shoes.  While I was in New York City, I looked up the addresses of a few stores that are known to carry the shoes.  Unfortunately, they were a little out of my walking distance so I didn't think I'd ever get to actually look for the shoes.  HOWEVER, on my very last day, while I was roaming through the fashion district, I came upon a shoe store and what to my wandering eyes did appear, the beautiful shoes I've been chasing all year!
First up, the Litas.  Every girl's dream.  On the left is the classic black Lita, and on the right is the American Flag Lita.

Here's a close up on the Classic Lita (my favorite).

This is the Groovie.  This rainbow t-strap platform is an instant summer hit and is loved by Jac Vanek.

This is the El Carmen-Stars & Stripes.  The perfect shoe to show American pride!

Finally, we have the Black Skate.  Close up you can see the amazing hand carved detailing on the heel of a shoe.  It's just what I want for winter! I can't really ice skate so wearing these would at least make me feel a little more like a skater.  I believe Sierra Kusterbeck had her eye on these too!

I haven't done a very good job keeping up with this blog.  I do a much better job with my other blog.

I thought I'd take some time today and update this one.  I hope you like it!

I have an obsession with dreamcatchers...

This is the latest dreamcatcher I've made.  I've gotten a lot of inspiration from trees lately especially the Magic Tree and VersaEmerge's Lost Tree.  I think everything about them is very interesting and I like putting them into my own art.  A walk through the woods can give me so many ideas!
